# The recipient's experience

> What your customer sees, from the SMS to the tracking page.

Source: https://docs.delivr.no/guides/recipient/

Once an order is placed, the recipient (`delivery.contact.phone`) gets an SMS from **Delivr** that names your store and links to a live tracking page. The order's `trackingUrl` is the same link, so you can also show it in your own order confirmation and emails.

The tracking page shows:

- the order's progress and the expected arrival,
- the driver on a map once they are on the way,
- when your store expects the goods to be ready (`readyAt`),
- the products you sent in `items`, with images when you gave an `imageUrl`,
- after a failed on-demand order with the `recipient_choice` policy, a choice of windows (see [Fallbacks](/guides/fallbacks/)).

## What stays private

These reach the driver only. They never appear on the tracking page, in SMS or in webhooks:

- the door code (`delivery.dropoff.doorCode`),
- the order's `pickup.note`,
- the store's `pickupInstructions`.

## The tracking link

`trackingUrl` is present from placement. It is absent while an [assisted checkout](/guides/assisted-checkout/) sale is pending, and once the order has ended (unless a fallback is still open). When a fallback creates a successor order, the same link follows it.
